![]() If the first two volumes interest you, it'll be your type of series for sure. ![]() ![]() If they had sped up the speed of the adaptation and fit in the next arc of the manga, maybe it would have been better-regarded. So to anyone only watching the anime, the series seems merely average because they got a lot of worldbuilding without all the payoff that comes as a result of it. Then instead of partially adapting the next arc, they ended it with a filler arc. Still other anime like Pandora Hearts include Chrono Crusade, Soul Eater, and Fate/stay night, a story about Shirou Emiya, who like Oz in Pandora Hearts, is a young person who abruptly and unwillingly is thrown into a situation where he must establish allies and take up the fight. The anime is fine, but here's the thing that kills it: it only adapts the first third of the manga, which mostly just introduces all the important main characters and plot concepts. The fights are great and the storytelling is awesome in the second half. The characters are all great and their interplay and dynamics are really interesting. ![]() 'The answer you seek lies within them.' Oz Vessalius may have survived his stint in the Abyss, but he is no closer to discovering the truth behind the 'sin' for which he was condemned. The manga is fantastic! It's a fantastic storyline that is so very well planned: unlike a lot of shonen series that start out with compelling ideas and mysteries and then make up answers as they go, Pandora Hearts clearly had answers to every mystery it set up from the start and it all makes perfect sense in retrospect/on rereads. 13.00 35 Used from 2.03 5 New from 11.81 2 Collectible from 30.00.
